Eclipse of Love
by Tanisha Avarsekar
Are those tears or fires in my eyes?
Reality is being manifested by the thought I most despise.
The day I had hoped would never come is here.
Taking away my soul and what I hold most dear.
My pride is your dignity,
The image of a life without you, I cannot even bear to see.
There’s an eclipse of our love,
One that depends more on luck.
If I have to, I will change destiny.
But I won’t let you let go of me.
