Summer Moon
by Frederick Kesner
`
There is a mystery about her
That even at Night she casts shadows;
You’ll find her playful as well as kind,
No other friend in the dark to find.
She’s out when it’s too early for bed,
When the lights are on and the sun has fled;
Her face smiles with a soft silver glow,
Her breath you’ll feel as the Night winds blow.
She invites you to join her in play,
To have some fun at the end of a day;
That you may smile in your dreams tonight,
And in the morn get up fresh and bright.
