i see a world that frightens me…not like the one of the past
this one is self oriented…no time or patience for others
a world now of violence…of hate…of anger…of self
not like the world i came from…a world so different
i feel a world that makes me sad…that makes me so alone
one that no longer cares for the others in need
where people are discarded…become homeless
not like the world i came from…a world so different
i know a world that has made me untouchable
that turns its back on those like me…who live in fear
a world of fear…of its self…its neighbors…even its own families
not like the world i came from…a world so different
where people go on killing sprees…terrorism a normality
where the jobs and economy generates more homeless
and families struggle each day just to survive
not like the world i came from…a world so different
