Those who know me not
Find me a kite tied to the skyline
Those who know me well
See in me a true sunshine chaser
I have never traveled high
As the reputed American bald eagle
Nor am I attached to the ground
Like the pigeons on Tiananmen Square
Plumed with the feathers of disappointment
My wings of hope may melt like Pegasus
Yet following my heart along the horizon
I have never lagged behind my shadow
Let me keep flying all the way to my death
Despite the cold clouds watching in silence
